The first year that I planted roses in my garden, I placed two of these on either side of an archway. Almost ten years later, they are still going strong. A well deserved AARS winner, this is a hardy shrub rose that blooms profusely with clusters of semi-double flowers. The color display is a pink blend with white centers and yellow stamens. The large blooms demand attention.
Carefree Wonder is very disease resistant although I would not say that it is totally "carefree" (what rose is??) But it is one that can be grown with minimal fuss. It can be used as a spectacular hedge or simply as a focal point.
