This rose was discovered in the garden of a 1750s plantation home near Wilmington, North Carolina by Jackson M. Batchelor. The area was settled by English and Scottish emigrants so it is possible the rose originated from them.
Petite Pink Scotch is a lovely rose that blooms once a year. The long arching thin canes are covered with dense small thorns. It has a very graceful habit and will perform well as a groundcover.
