Spanish Bluebells
(Hyacinthoides hispanica)
Hardy to Zone 5
Bloom Time - Mid-spring
Color - Blue, white, lavender, pink
Foliage - Thick, strap-like blades
Size - Less than 2 ft. tall.
Exposure - Partial shade
Culture - Plant bulbs 3-4 inches deep in the fall in full sun or part shade. They multiply freely and are excellent for naturalizing. They are lovely in woodland plantings and look good under trees or shrubs and along pathways. The plants go dormant in summer.
These little bulbs are very long lasting. A clump I planted almost 20 years ago is still going strong today!
